Desktop stand

does anyone know of any kind of a two tiered (preferably wooden) desktop stand that can hold both the tempest and a4 and have them angled towards me. much like the one meant for the a4 and octatrack except for the tempest? i need something to save me a little bit of desktop space!

I was out shopping for an A4 rack/stand - unsuccessfully. I found myself waiting for my wife in the aisle of a “big box warehouse” store, when I spied an intricately folded piece of cardboard inside a box of glass bottles. I pulled it out and went “hmmmmm.” So I took it home and:

  • Using only the “pre-folds” in the cardboard, I got the shape I wanted and held it together using packing tape.
  • I added some felt “dots” to raise the A4 for proper airflow.
  • Then I put some black gaffers tape on the front “palm rest” (it just turned out that way) to make it look nice.

Total cost: maybe a dollar
Total construction time: about fifteen minutes

Works for me!

you can easily make something that fits your needing, i think

Ikea has the Brada laptop stand.
I personally combine this with the Universal Support JS-LPT100 laptop stand to form a 2 layer setup where both devices are slightly angled towards you.

Both combined should cost you something like 20-30 dollar.

not a bad idea at all!

I had two of the Brada stands for my A4 and OT, but I took them back as they take up way too much depth on desk, they also do a new stand with a kickstand at rear that’s smaller all round, just that it only comes in lightblue or pink, good products just distractingly loud, cheaper than Brada

this was yesterday !

In my time i’ve bought all manner of fancy and expensive stands for my gear. I was a stand snob.

Most of them were sold alongside the equipment they were bought for.

Today i begrudgingly decided to use an Ikea Brada stand that i had tucked away.

And I’m happy to say that this stand is absolutely fine for my MPC One or OT.

I literally could have saved myself hundreds of pounds using these from the offset.

Silly twat.
