Are terminal based trackers a thing? I feel like a vim like flow with music would be bananas and would def vibe with this genre (maybe not heh)

I think the first demos I saw were some UCF, Wizax, and such in around ‘86 on the C64. I’ve hunted down many of them as I don’t have a working 1541 now, and some are not in the internet archives. Being in the US many of the good European ones would flicker, so I also watched a lot of US and Canadian ones. (Wanderer, FBR, etc.)

I actually fried one of my C64s modifying it for a PAL switch in the late 80s :smiley:

Not a tracker, but check out the algorave scene; if you don’t already know about it, it’s live coding to make music, using software like TidalCycles.

Oh nice I’ve seen some code trackers before my friend was making music with C# programming language in a college class . There’s a really cool code tracker one he sent me recently I’ll find it tomorrow !
