Can there be an option to delete slices when re-recording on a Flex track?
It takes too many button presses to go and delete slices. Then create new slices each time I record over a Flex recorder ram. I’ll have a different BPM on the second recording so the slices are useless after the BPM change.
Also I noticed that the Slice page of the Sample Edit menu isn’t available until a few seconds after recording.
when I delete all slices, sample start is still in slice mode ?!
Yeah, slicepoints are absolute and not relative…
thats why it goes wrong when you record over slices in a difrent bpm.
the slices will stay at “the old spot” instead of being resliced.
Weirdly enough… this means you gotta clear your slices before you overwrite it.
or overwrite it, while its muted or not playing… THEN go into the editor
and clear slicing grid… or reslice it…
Personaly… I want:
- A recorder that reslices in a grid you tell it as soon as its done / during recording.
- A recorder that clears slices when you tell it to when it starts recording
I had a whole live-set programmed in… until the point I found out slices where not relative… And I am very sure I was not the only one… others “assumed” it did 2
It is a workflow killer… being in a liveset and instead of focussing what your playing… your slicing and shit… instead of just recording and playing with slices for breaks and all that weirdness…
