Default syntakt?

Hi, I’ve had my overbridge all setup and working fine for few days but suddenly he doesn’t connect anymore.

I reinstalled everything and my Mac mini M4 recognises my Syntakt and Overbridge engine also when is midi audio usb mode but soon I enter Overbridge mode in the machine he goes to measuring and then it disconnects from engine and I can’t find it anymore.

Then if I want to use it in midi audio usb I have to restart my Mac and sometimes it recognises in midi audio and sometimes doesn’t.

I unplugged all other usb , I’ve checke ld the ports and none is using the Syntakt port.

It’s very frustrating and unstable if it carries on like this.

Any help on this?

Hi, did you contact elektron support? That’s what I would do. Good luck.

I did and response and help I’ve got was the usual one but this thing keeps switching off from Overbridge

You already tried the very simplest things like power cycle the computer, power cycle the device?

Do you have a different USB cable to try? Should not impact your ability to connect to OB but always good to try the easy things first.

I’ve tried all that , reset usb , mac , diferente cables, porta, etc
It was hard to make it work from the 1st day but I got but then it was working flawless for a week and just stoped connecting at all.

Did you do any software update for overbridge or transfer in that week? Or Syntakt firmware update? Or everything was working, no changes, then it just stopped connecting?

I don’t have a lot of experience with Mac, but it’s my understanding that the security protocol for adding software / updating software is very high, so that sometimes it requires an approval from the admin (you).

I’m only going off what I’ve read in other topics. People with Mac have more compatibility problems than windows, presumably because there are so many versions of Mac OS which are not compatible with one another.

I really think that the elektron support is your best bet with this. Even if another user can recommend something useful, there may be drivers buried somewhere that need to be manually uninstalled and I think elektron is the only ones who will know which specifically need to be addressed.

If you can think of any changes or updates that happened in the last week before the problem occurred, let me know what you think it was and I’ll see if I can find anything that might be relevant, but mostly when someone has a Mac and there is a magical problem of compatibility with overbridge (not uncommon) it seems like the problem is only resolved when elektron gets involved, so I would definitely keep emailing them and let them know that whatever they told you to try isn’t working.

no not an update that i know of
