This is my first analog rytm jam, i bought this wonderful machine one week ago, and it’s really awesome!

the clap sounds a bit cheap to my ear; rather use a sample instead of the AR’s build-in one

but the rest … very well done mate!! really nice chillout vibe; reminds me of some tracks in heard several years ago - on cafe del mar great job !!!

Yes, i used the analog built-in clap, perhaps doesn’t sound very impactful unless stacked with a snare. Maybe next time i will stack a sample! Since i own this machine from just a week, i’m trying to put out every single analog power that has inside XD (is my first TRUE analog gear, i own several synths, but all VAs)

absolutely understandable the clap in fact can sound very nice if you layer it with a short transient sample. just take any sample with a decent portion of attack to it. then use sample start and end point and make them just one unit apart from each other. sweep through the sample, find a sweet spot and there you go

alternatively; yeah - use a snare or a clap with good attack so that it punches through and layer it though you loose the sonic character of the analog machines that way. if you wanna keep it pure, i would recommend step 1

Yes, layering a short transient snare could be the best way to give body to the AR clap
will do for sure next time!
