Hi! I’ve got an OT MKII that I love but I bought it used and it has some scuffs on the sides. I was hoping to get some decorative rack ears for lack of a better term. I do not need a stand as I already have one from EZBOT. Does anyone know where I can get one?
There were these ones called swingcheeks that are combined with a prop up stand but they seem to be out of stock.
Most of the other stuff I’ve seen for mkII is more along the lines of a wood stand that is in the form of angled end cheeks.
You might email the person from the link and see if they plan on restocking. You could also consider making a template and getting a machine shop to cut some ABS or acrylic sides for you and drill the holes.
It would probably be more cost effective to buy a sheet of 3M vinyl wrap with a matte finish in a similar color and just cut it to fit if this is just so you don’t have to look at the scuff marks.
Maybe you can dig something up on etsy but I’m not seeing anything other than the wood stand types.
Not quite as attractive but i found some files for a 3d print version of the MKII prop up end cheeks.
Looks to be a free resource.
I think you mean end cheeks.
Rack ears are an actual thing for mounting gear in 19inch studio racks.
Or you can cover up scuffs with stickers, paint, or just not give a shit because if you use your gear it gets knocked around and scuffed here and there anyway.
