Especially for CTRL+ALL as a mostly static & shared parameter across machine types.
On the Rytm, the decays make sense because you also have the samples layer. On the ST, they make sense as a CTRL-AL target, and can yield very dramatic results.
I dont even know what happens to sounds set to ADSR when you try to CTRL-AL the decay parameter on a sound set to AHD envelope… does it only adjust the ADSR decays, leaving the AHD decays intact and vice versa?
Thank you very much!
Indeed I was not aware of the interaction between the SYN decay and the AMP envelope, esp. that it may control either the decay or the release depending on the AMP envelope type.
Somewhat related: on the SY Chord machine, the decay affects the decay of AHD and the R of the ADSR, and in both AHD and ADSR modes it also affects the decay of the *filter envelope * parameter. It’s nice to be able to control that when using high pass or eq filters on the chords…
