Dawless, am I a fraud?

I use a vs-1880 - is that consider dawless in the whole dawless conversation? When I think dawless, I’m more thinking computer… I am thinking wrong or I’m just a fraud?

Fraud?
who cares? use what you need to use to make music!

Yes dawless implies without DAW, or software designed to compose music with. Usually hardware jamming only basically. But there are no rules just use what works for you. Do as you please and what works best.

thinking too much…

btw does the 1880 record audio in Rolands proprietary format or does it record in standard wav files now?

Who cares?
I’m Prophetless, Eurorackless, Analog Rytmless, Patchbayless, hardware compressorless, passive monitorless, Ericaless, and giveashitless.

Make music and enjoy, youtube tags are meaningless. No one cares what gear you use.

I havent seen any DAWless gatekeepers so i think you’re good… you can continue being a fraud in good faith…

Definitely a fraud. I’ve just checked the dawless rulebook and the punishment for such an offense is to relinquish all your hardware. I’ll PM you with my address so you can send it.

The short answer is…yes.
The more in-depth response would be…woul…what are we talking about again?

I don’t have a third ear.
Am I third-ear-less?

Only you can answer this (rather superficial) question.
And I don’t think this question matters much to anyone that could give you good advice for your music production.

You’re not a fraud, don’t worry. The vs-1880 is a Digital Studio Workstation, so you’re completely DAWless. Unfortunately, you are not DSWless.

My imposter syndrome tells me all my music-making is fraudulent, no matter what instruments I use.

I’m working on becoming fraud-leas.

I’ve heard of this, the shorthand is FRA-less

No problem with people going “DAWless” but I don’t like the idea of defining what you are doing on the equipment you don’t use.

In my mind its always been hardware and software. People were performing with hardware long before there was software as we know it today. Look to those people for inspiration.

DAWless types remind me of vegans that constantly have to tell you they’re vegan.

No one gives a jeff.

Every time someone says they’re dawless, someone else comes in and says they don’t care.
