DAW to Synth to midi out to Drum Machine

I am wanting to send MIDI to by synth from the DAW (no problem, working fine), then use the MIDI out to my drum machine. However, this isn’t working. The drum machine sends midi fine.

Not sure what I am during wrong.

Ableton (MIDI) -> Moog Grandmother (MIDI OUT) -> Erica Synths LXR 02 (Not receiving MIDI In)

Hi. If you want the DAW to reach the drum machine, you need to connect the MIDI thru of the Moog Grandmother to the MIDI in of the LXR 02.

MIDI out will only send messages generated within your Moog, MIDI thru takes any messages generated prior to the Moog (in the DAW) and forwards them on.

That should be all that you need to change, move the cable from MIDI out of the Grandmother to MIDI thru, keep the LXR 02 cable to the IN port exactly as it is.

Grandmother can NOT be used to “play” the drum machine in this configuration, but the DAW sequence will reach the Erica machine via the thru port.

Thanks for your response. I had tried that, but was still having issues. Resetting the Moog fixed it.
