Small thing… but just wondering: when I received my AR - bought online - the packaging was in bad condition. It did not happen during the shipment itself (there was an outer box which was in good condition). The damages were either made at the reseller’s warehouse (I have had good experiences with them though), or at Elektron’s.
Not a big deal but for a product this price… it’s a bit disappointing.
Have you guys had the same experience?
Mine was very similar. Outer shipping box from B&H was in good shape but the RYTM box looked used is the best way i would describe it. I just made sure everything packed how i saw it on unboxing videos to make sure i didn’t get a returned unit. usb was in a sealed bag, unit wrapped in plastic etc and plastic still over screen. I had the same thoughts as you though and its way to expensive not to get a “new” unit.
@rgraphic OK. It’s reassuring. I had the exact same reaction as you did :-). I guess it means Elektron need to find a better way to store and transport their products…
I’ve ordered by elektron devices via 2 online retailers. Both were in fine condition. Last month I got a RYTM direct from Elektron - pristine condition. I’d bet it’s more due to the retailers - not Elektron.
no damages to the box on mine, probably yours got damaged between HQ and the retailer…someone has to take the box to the store 
Did anybody get any stickers etc in theirs? I know it is superficial but I’m a sucker for that sort of stuff.

just got my analog four and it has the same quality packaging as the RYTM. I got both from B&H. The units themselves are in great condition but everything else looks like it was all repackaged numerous times. The boxes both had worn corners, and the bag the analog four came in actually had a hole where one of the knobs rubbed through. Refurbished maybe returned?
What os are these new units running, my rytm was minty packaged, there’s noway this is an elektron issue, no way, it’s about handling at sellers or returns, if the os is older than on the latest new sent rytms it may give you a clue, i’d feel the same, but at least the important bit is in perfect condition. My rytm came with 1.02F this week
The one I bought this week from Thomann also came in mostly mint packaging (minimal wear on the corners of the packaging). The firmware was F, as well.
I can’t remember what OS was on the rytm but it didn’t display a letter and didn’t include the red braided cable. The analog four actually has the same packaging now as the rytm. Came with same foam inserts, red braided cable, and OS 1.11 (not sure when that os came out). Both units were made in July of this year.
