I set up my Oberheim SEM. Get the tuning configured. Sounds awesome. Play around with it on a few patterns and it sounds great.
Now I switch from that pattern to an older pattern. Everything is completely wrong - it’s almost like the tuning config has changed completely - everything is several octaves higher, and nothing I do seems to fix it. Weirder still, on that pattern, controlling with the A4’s keyboard all the sounds are several octaves higher, while the midi controller’s notes are several octaves lower and seem to be random. Like you hit the same key repeatedly and get different notes.
Switch to the first pattern, SEM sounds awesome again. Everything is fine.
I’m completely stumped. Seems like the tuning and all the other settings are global, so they shouldn’t be changing. The envelopes and LFOs are all flat, so there’s no modulation. In fact if I copy the track from the working pattern and paste it into the one that isn’t working, it still doesn’t work (indicating to me that it’s not a track config).
Hi,
Well i’ve never tried the CV-outs . But maybe the track is transposed in the next pattern.
First i would try this out with different patterns using the same KIT. ( even then tracks can still be transposed octave’s up or down - because of the one -octave mini-keayboard ). You can check this by watching the led - it should stay on the same position when patterns are switching. )
