CV into DAW?

Hello everybody,

Is it possible to send cv from A4 into DAW? I would like to use the cv track to modulate envelopes and such in my software synths. It seems at least that Overbridge does not output cv. Am I missing something or do I need some sort of cv interface? Haven’t used cv before so please excuse my cluelesness

Isn’t it far easier to use your daw to modulate everything you could possibly want to with many different ways ? Sequencers / arps/ drawing envelopes / lfo modules etc.

If I understood correctly, as long as yoour audio interface has DC-coupled inputs, you should be able to record CV signals as audio, right?

Obviously you cannot exceed voltage ranges your inputs can handle (might break your inputs!) but yeh

…bitwig connect is a proper audio interface…if u need an audio interface with solid, good sounding converters and don’t wanna think about what and where can i and can’t i mix and mingle cv and audio signals, no myatter what daw u use, bitwig connect is THE weapon of ur choice…
not to mention that it’s also a monitor controler…

Thanks, I think DC-coupled audio interface (or Bitwig Connect) is the solution!

And yeah, surely I could just modulate in DAW, but A4 has the sequencer track for cv with p-locks etc.
