Yeah…while the Elektron manuals do cover the machine’s features very well, it would be helpful if they also included a Recommended Workflows section or something like that.
They did upload some Workflow videos to the official Electron Youtube which are pretty good, and Cuckoo’s tutorials also provide some good workflow tips. I just got the Rytm and watched all of the above related to that machine, and I feel ten times more competent than I would have from reading the manual alone. Sometimes you just need a little sense of how all the details from the manual flow together in practice.
Oh, and by the way, a project doesn’t necessarily have to be a single song, and in fact if you are into performing live you will often want to have multiple songs in a single project because it gives you much more flexibility in transitioning seamlessly between songs. You can always compose the songs separately and merge them to a single project later, though.
