The 6 grey knobs, level knob and volume knob on my Octatrack, all have a faint tint of yellow to them (I don’t even smoke!), therefore I would like to replace them with new black knobs. Would the knob upgrade kit for monomachine and md work for the octatrack too? I also remember a guy selling custom knobs, though I’m not sure if he is still around and doing this? Anyone else have this yellowing problem? I have tried soaking, but to no avail…
My OT is about 2 years old and I have the same problem with yellowing knobs (I’m also a non smoker). I’d be keen to replace them with black knobs too.
all the dsi knobs fit onto my octa. I put the old little black ones on the OT and then upgraded my dsi prophet 8 ones. It also had knobs from an Oxygen midi keyboard, they fit perfect. My friend went to guitar center and stole some to replace ones I recovered from him.
(people please stop touching other peoples knobs!)
Pretty sure you can use the rubberized black knobs they sell for the Machinedrum/Monomachine. I think they’re the same ones Cenk has on his Octatrack in one of his recent youtube videos.

MD/MM knobs will work. Same thing different color. I’ve switched my ‘level’ knob to black, because I kept going for wrong knob when I wanted to adjust parameter/knob A (when using peripheral sight). I think it helped…
Interesting.
I have my OT since it came out. many gigs with it since then, and yes I´m a smoker… But no smokers? Nice so is not nicotine or party stress!!
Still I thought the little bit of yellowness would come out easilly cleaning them, but is not the case…
I found this ones some time ago, some OT users have succesfully used in their devices:

They are slighty cheaper, many colors and same ruberized feel.
Hope it helps!
Is this confirmed to work for all knobs on the Octatrack? I really want to replace all the knobs and also all the knobs on my A4. I’m presuming this will also work on the A4?
look up Highsage, he has green knobs all over his OT
