timestamped to the music part
edit: i will try to chop these down to audio clips and just post the “good part” here moving forward to keep it less cluttered
Just looking at your setup on the big screen, beautiful man cave you got there, while listening
Playing cheesy stuff with Perkons voice on string and Basilisk on bass duty…
Wouldn’t that be nice? I think the original spirit of this thread was lost long ago. Early part 2 maybe. I never watch any videos posted here, nor listen to bandcamp/ soundcloud links.
Sublime
Agree. I always thought this thread was to share the snippets of things that you were currently working on. Raw, unfinished, without context. Nothing to do with YouTube performances, published tracks on SoundCloud or 1 hour jams. But maybe I got it wrong.

Mono One on da funky synth line
Shaperbox processing some crazy loops i made
i can bang out something like this in an hour now woohooo
It must have been before I came into life here. It was @tr909 who had the glorious idea.
I really miss the original vibe, too. Not only in this thread but across the board it was way more about humble explorative creativity and less about self-marketing and content spamming. There’s other forums that ban commercial activity almost completely – I’d really appreciate that – or have it at least limited to a dedicated area I could then just mute entirely.
But still I’m glad this thread and a few others exist. The rest I tend to ignore and not get dragged in mostly.
Preach.
there is already a share your music section in this forum. That would be the proper place for videos, links, finished works etc.
There’s so much content spamming these days that it is really spoiling the board. ‘Here’s my latest sound pack’, ‘buy my latest patterns’ etc.

Let’s bring this back then, summoning @NeonMelk
Here’s trying just intonation on the A4. I’m confident about the math but my ears won’t accept it.
Sounds nice to my ears
Sounds incredible already
I’m no trained ear, although I have a decent ear for pitch (enough to tune a guitar by ear). But listening to a disproportionate amount of just intoned and non-traditionally tuned music over the years seems to have made it so that just intonation is hard for me to distinguish from 12 TET. Other than the interesting scale / mode, if you had told me this recording was 12 TET I’d have believed you. I could probably do with some ear training though
