It’s two drum breaks that I’ve chopped up and layered using the Octatrack. By all means, sample away, but I’m working on a tune featuring em, so fuck them up and make them your own. Enjoy!

I just got a KORG HD-S Harmonic Distortion pedal kit. I don’t think there is even a thread for it. Here is a quick test with Kobol Expander. Nothing special but I wanted to see how it works and whether I should return it or not (I won’t return it). Sorry for exposing you to this crappy music. But I realize lots of people are into pedals here.
Mostly Strega + Fors Box
909 kick lacks envelope anyway, its not a coincidence people fill highs, mids and lows with as many harmonics as they can bear and scoop out shit after.
Kicks often sound good when theres less of that 909 character in them
Messing about with Karplus in Max.
It sounds like hitting the low strings of a grand piano with a flat hand, which for me is like a make-shift Tamtam, and Tamtams and -like instruments are often associated with funeralesque themes. That’s a long sentence to describe I love it ![]()

Might be my next album title.
I thought you got Karplus from Halfords?

Some 90’s techno. All sounds coming from the Syntakt and run through Analog Heat. The Syntakt continues to impress me with its wide range of sounds.
Im amazed from time to time as well, for me all the boxes just lack a somewhat serious dsp to keep it ITB. Could be such nice standalone instruments, if you had that…mini compressors for x.xxx € are made to kind of adress/exploit that.
I will probably buy some old fixed installation dsp superior to all those tiny boxes to combine them to a more complete Syntakt-Instrument.
