Current sounds coming from your gear (Part 2)

Just making wonky patterns on the OP-Z which is sending midi out to Peak, A4 and OT
I’m loving this little setup right now!

whatever it was, now it is that:

All software, all for free:

-TAL Noisemaker
-Sonicbits Exakt Lite
-UHe TyrellN6
-Vital

And im atm checking out a few distortion/saturation/overdrive plugins…not very elektron, but its current sound coming from my DAW.
Im mastering in certain ways just for fun…exploring details, rationalizing stuff for my brain to further process things.

the title of the thread “sounds from your gear” not “from your elektrons”, nice track, carry on

My Minilogue XD passion is back.

Here is my attempt to “recreate” Stranger Things theme using ONLY Minilogue XD - including the kick!

I don’t know the exact notes and chords. But I kept it all in key at least.
Video may not align with the sound since I don’t record things at the same time. Everything was recorded into MPC Software.

Sizzling Bacon!!!

Hans Zimmer did it with his wall of moog modular, right? Movies are not exactly my thing.
I remember an interview with Hans where he was talking about making himself do things against his muscle memory as he keeps searching for new things…this guy is sitting there patching for hours and hours. A mad scientist of control voltage and some kind of savant for unfathomably beautiful soundtracks.

He must be a wonderfully strange guy.

Uuuh…thats nice! Nice to hear the pretty side of syntakt while I most of the times try to make it sound as strange as possible.

Definitely reminded me of Flim

or some other Aphex Twin tune I cant remember the name of right now. Maybe also some Floating Points association? Dont know, a really cool vibe for sure!

He may have. And I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
I was inspired to do this while watching an interview with composers of the Stranger Things theme. He said he was so afraid of losing the settings he taped the knobs :joy: I posted the interview on the Interviews Megathread thread. They have a really large selection of analog hardware.

Im not sure, I thought I had something in mind.
Thats the video I was talking about, found it:

Might be totally wrong about Stranger Things though, I didnt even watch that movie (?)
At 4:29 hes talking about escaping muscle memory. Im a savant when it comes to remember peoples wording. :upside_down_face:
