Inspired by the fabulous first-ever-recording-thread I decided to dig deeper into my archives and released a couple of old tracks from 1994! Having archived only stereo files from the past there’s only rudimentary rebalancing and enhancement being done. The original vibe has been preserved largely. Good for you: It’s free. Here is my second day with Softpop 2. I tried to add some crunchy, percussive noise to drums. I obviously overdid it so people can hear.

Welcome to Open Challenge #16. After a months of waiting and uncertainty the infamous Elektronauts Open Challenge is finally happening again. For this challenge, you may create anything making use of synthesis only (analog, fm, am, …) and strictly no effects. You could use a sampler, but only if you’re limiting yourself to the most basic single cycle waveforms (sin, saw, tri, pul, sqr) and use it like a synth. Use as many tracks and instruments as you wish, as long as you record in one take. …
