I’m in Drone mood aswell, today:)

Another no-input experiment with the Cocoquantus.
Edit:
Thank you!
It’s the monomachine only! FM percussion and bass, the chords and something more on wavetable, all through a compressor track.
I’ve been enjoying the compressor at extreme settings, it glues (and pumps) things in a funny way.
I’ve been stuck for a while with awful choice paralysis, but coming back to the MNM (surely my best standalone machine by far) I always manage to jam something spontaneously.
Something more (not really current, but still never shared):
This is delicious. If someone told me it was Squarepusher, I wouldn’t question it. Nice work!
@craig Thanks ! Its a bit messy, working on a new album.
Squarepusher huh? Big compliment. I havent listened to any of his stuff in decades!
+1
For those who like this snippet, check Microtribe’s latest album! It’s great braindance!
I think it’s the bass parts that instantly reminded me of Tom Jenkinson. But, yeah, your new stuff is already sounding v polished to me.
Go Plastic will forever be a seminal work, but I don’t really listen to him anymore - Shoebaleder One or whatever it’s called killed my interest in the Pusher to be honest. Autechre and BoC are the winners in terms of progressing out of the early Warp era imo. Anyway, I’m going off-topic. To bring it back around, I’m loving the positive vibes of this thread. No criticisms for the sake of it, just love and encouragement where it’s warranted
Was doing little Octatrack solo noodling today. Here is a quick mini jam of some sounds.
Will head over to A4 now
Sweet! I really like it. Chill IDM.
And by the same token if that’s not some early Autechre stuff I don’t know what is. It might even be the exact same notes for the bass part as one of their earliest songs that sticks out in my memory (which is not the best, to be fair). Great stuff! Really lovely!
soma trio with oto bam
Thanks. Not by intention. But I listened so much to their stuff in recent years, I wouldn’t be surprised if some their note sequences sneak into my noodling
Impressive. You already sound like a pro with this orchestral stuff.
Thank you! I mainly did piano and orchestra stuff before I got into hardware, but I have definitely improved at composing, arranging, and mixing from making music on hardware.
Went over to A4 and DN the last two hours and came up with another jam… No practice, just muting/unmuting. Kind of my unexperienced attempts to do techno (at least how I perceive it).
Improvisation on the Digitone (+Microcosm).
Got a contact mic for experimental sound design purposes. Decided to screw around with the stuff on my desk and run it into Ableton. Motu seemed to do a fine job picking it up.
Anyone have advice for what to hook it up to? Especially metal stuff? Don’t own any drums but might pick up a cymbal
Random Youtube video -> GR-1 -> TC Hall of Fame and Flashback 2:
A couple of raw data samples triggered from Push 2, a drone from GR-1 and lots of reverb:
