Edgehog has gotten far enough above their moderate level threshold to say now that this product will get funded. Four weeks are still left in the campaign.
As the numbers of unit that are crowdfunded grows, Edgehog may have the opportunity to shift in to higher volume means of production, including having injection molds made. Their initial threshold were set at a level that would have meant much smaller production methods.
WARNING : This is kinda expensive ! But some of you may find yourselves wanting this.

Let me talk you out of this. Unless you own that irreplaceable one in a million record ( lucky you ), OR you’re worth more than Elon, OR you have a room filled with vinyl ( what the hell is wrong with you ?! ) you absolutely don’t need this thing. You got a warped record ? Like who doesn’t ? Get over it. Push the stylus arm weight up, or find and buy a replacement record. You don’t need to buy this thing.
And if you still insist, here’s a competitive product for less :

Maybe that’s too cheap.
To be fair there are record flatteners much, much more expensive – like five times the price, like the Furutech DF-2. Or the Pro-Ject Flatten It that is like twice the price. Hey it’s your money.
So maybe this makes sense.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a record that was too warped to play. And I bought my first records in 1973.
Drat. And here I thought “flattening” was some cool new digital process I hadn’t heard of before.
Argh, now the EH-01 developer is teasing this little device as “hackable – but recoverable” based on the fact that in the end it is a Teensy 4.1 open and well documented platform with versatile and readily assembled hardware.
I mean, for that price, if the hardware quality is decent, it would be tempting even as a MIDI controller with a bonus synth, if someone puts the code.
The crowdfunding seems to have platoed a bit with “173 left” and probably this post tries to make a wider audience reconsider. It almost worked for me, but I keep resisting. 
Personal reaction, given this is a first product from this company, looking quite innovative but not completely buttoned up in design, i’d have to rate this as a moderate risk KS.
Also i’ve always felt that rather than just opening the code and hoping to get more variations developed in the firmware, that companies should consider commissioning other clever people to do variations, like Plinky did with the Plinky 12. That’s part of what crowdfund cash might allow you to do.
Another way, though this isn’t a crowdfund, is getting design improvements from clever people like AUXY did with the Svensson from Cuckoo, and Modal did with the Element One from Axel Hartmann.
yeeeeah cant lie that update made me groan a little bit. over the past year ive experimented with hacked together stuff that was squeezed onto unintended hardware and its interesting for a little bit but pretty quickly the disconnect between the hardware and software rears its head and makes me realize the novelty has expired.
