Critical issue

Upon booting up my OT. A completely black screen appears with no sign of any response from any buttons.
If i were to continue attempting to power on and off, I get the same effect, but with a few pixelated variations.
I checked the power supply, I also attempted to hold function while booting up.

I am distraught. Help

Do you get any LED’s lit? / Is there a power up sequence?

Can you play anything / get any sound?

Maybe push some audio into A/B, then press [Mixer] and crank [Knob B] which should route in A/B to main outputs / headphones. Do you hear anything?

Has anything happened recently? Could the LCD cable become dislodged?

A few people, including me last December, have had this problem with their Octatracks in recent months. The likely problem is that a cable has become detached inside. I sent mine in under warranty for what was probably a trivial repair. I wrote a thread about this but can’t find the link right now.
Everything will be OK.

Thanks for all the response and concern.
Curious enough, I did a last ditch effort and just used a different power outlet and it worked as if nothing happened. Ive booted it up about 5 times since then and its working fine.
It is very strange.

You haven’t by chance mixed the PSU for the OT with one for either the A4 or AR?

Sounds like a power supply issue. It’s a good idea to label the power supply cables near the end, and on the in-line box.

To re-seat the cables, use a small hex wrench to open the six screws on the top and slowly lift the lid. I fixed 'headphone crackle in my OT by pulling out the smaller ribbon cable on the left side, cleaning it with compressed air, then re-seating it.
