Crazy good semi cheesy 80's non-English synth pop

Maybe not cheesy enough?

i had and enjoyed their whole album back in those days

Maybe not synthy enough but cheese aplenty.

it is now irreversibly connected with Deutschland 1983 tv show now
 for me.

Yeah, for me too - though other countries (including Germany) used New Order for the theme music apparently:

Beat me to it with Desireless. Classic!

Non cheesy (for me). There’s. A great DMC remix of this too.

Wow! That’s a blast from the past!

Italo Disco classic.

Brilliant :joy:

Pop-adjacent certainly

An old favourite; my daughter loved it when she was little and still does at parties.

This:

Romanian synth-pop from 1986 with a crazy good chord progression during the verses (the chorus is a bit of a letdown after that, musically speaking). No idea what synths could have been used here

I paid money for this album (well CD, but it’s expensive to get them in from Japan). Whole album is great, though not all of it is in Japanese. I don’t speak a lick of Japanese, youtube just sent me down a rabbit hole of 80s japanese jazz fusion a few years ago and I never looked back. Got some synthpop along the way.

I also have an album that heavily features the CS-80 from the 70s (IE before Vangelis showed everyone what the CS-80 was going to sound like in the 80s), but it isn’t synthpop, more of a soft rock jazz thing.

Easy peasy super cheesy :space_invader:
