Copying / pasting kits

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help. When Im copying and pasting kits from one project to another, most of the time I get one or two sounds pasted and the rest of the pads are silent. I have managed to do it successfully in the past but am not having much luck any more!

Any help would be appreciated

Samples need to be copied, too, in the same slots as original kit.

When working with samples it’s best to save Sounds to the +Drive and load samples to a new projects to the same slots. Then there shouldn’t be a problem moving Kits between projects.

Good point :o)
I’ve yet to save many sounds, just working on making a bunch of kits still. Important to be organized using AR’s file/kit structure as it’ll make your life a lot easier down the road.

I’ll tell ya, I was going along just fine with my Rytm, learning lots and having fun. Then once I got the basics down, I sat down to try to make a bunch of kits and plan everything out perfectly and I realized that Rytm does, in fact, have an Achilles heel.

It’s amazing that you can hold so many samples within (what I consider to be) a nicely organized file system. But I really hope there is some kind of wizardry they can pull off (without using Overbridge) that will allow the kits to autoload the samples they depend on. Really thinking about it though, that’s probably a whole lot tougher than you’d expect. I mean, having the kits be able to reference dynamic sample slots. I’m no coder or anything like that but expect that it would be a real challenge. I just hope they are working on it because this thing makes for an amazing sampler if they could just sort that out somehow.

Honestly though, the filing system is almost always where things get a little dicey when it comes to these complex boxes. If my MC-909 had made it a little less confusing to keep track of samples, for example, I may never have even ended up here. heh
