I was working on a track last night. I had programmed some hihats in the MIDI sequencer to control my Volcabeats. I decided I wanted to use samples instead so I tried to copy the MIDI pattern to the regular sample sequencer and it would not work. Am I missing something? I wish the OT had the same extra copy/paste menu of the MM.
not sure, but don’t think it will copy/paste from the midi side to the audio side. you could run a cable from midi out to midi in and live record the trigs across?

then again, the parameters of midi and audio trigs are so different - no velocity response on the audio side for example - plus you’d need to change to the correct note numbers. Also the volca probably has a choke between open and closed hi hats, whereas the OT audio doesn’t choke unless on the same track, but won’t record slices or slots via midi 
prob going to be a pain - but if you have the trigs micro timed to perfection it might be worth recording the trigs just to get the timing, then lock the samples and volumes after…
