Copying from different project

Hi,

I have a question regarding Octatrack.

I am preparing a liveset featuring Octatrack + Analog Four + some sounds from computer. Everything runs smooth, there’s just one thing that’s not clear to me:

Let’s say I have a project set up with all the patterns, samples and parts that I’m using.
But, there’s a piece of music that’s included in a different project (including its own samples and parts). So, what I want to ask - is there a way how to copy the desired data (parts+samples+pattern) to a different project, so that I don’t have to program it whole from scratch?

There’s a thread on the old EU site that may help you. It’s all a bit awkward but it can be done.

This will allow you to copy Banks and/or Patterns between Sets/Projects as required. Sorry, tracks/parts are not supported in it.

After you’ve done that, copy your source samples from your [i]\Source Set\AUDIO[/i] folder over to [i]\Target Set\AUDIO[/i] folder via your computer.

In your Source set, make a note of the sample assignments. In the Target set, reassign the samples manually on the Octatrack. Again, sorry, but not supported in that version.

Good luck, let me know here, or via pm, how you get on / any issues / bugs, comments / feedback etc. Slowly finalisng the finsihed version… slowly.

I deleted the files yesterday, so you won’t be able to get it. Sorry.

I’m busy sorting out / testing the full version, which hopefully should not be too far away.
