TRACK COPY
When copying a track, the copied information will consist of trigs, parameter locks, machine
and FX assignments. Before performing a track copy operation, make sure you are in GRID RECORDING mode. If not, press [REC].
Select the track you want to copy by pressing the appropriate [TRACK] key. Press [FUNCTION] + [REC] to perform the copy operation. The message “COPY TRACK” will be shown in the display. Select the destination track to which you want to paste the copied content.
Paste the data by pressing [FUNCTION] + [STOP]. A message saying “PASTE TRACK” will be shown in the display. Pasting a track overwrites any previous trigs, parameter locks, machine and FX assignments.
The paste track operation can be undone by pressing [FUNCTION] + [STOP] immediately after it has been performed. A message saying “UNDO TRACK” will be shown in the display
From the manual!
Aah i was looking for machine copy… stupid. But thanks!
No worries! There are no stupid questions
It is possible to perform copy paste and clear commands while the TRACK TRIG EDIT menu is opened. Only trigs will be copied, no other settings.
also works on the MIDI side.
…a little like machine copy on mnm maybe
Enjoy!
Is it possible to copy/paste a track’s data excluding default sample and pattern trigs? So only track fx/lfo/rate etc are copied, and only these parameters are replaced on the track they are pasted to?
This would be very useful for me in situations where I have a default track sample and trigs set out, for example chromatically in a melody across a pattern. If I then want to bring in a bunch of settings from one of the ‘fx chain’ tracks I have in a different bank in my template project.
Thanks
you can copy each page. think it’s just hold page (eg LFO) and COPY and then paste on new track.
Not near the OT at the moment - anyone weigh in to confirm?
Thanks, that helps. Wonder if I can hold down all page buttons and copy everything in one go Have to give it a try…
I definitely need to go through the whole manual again now that I have a grip on things. Think I probably didn’t soak up a lot of things that’ll jump out as really useful now…
me too dude! still so much learning to get done
The “Track Default” sample is stored in the Part, and always exits, so you would have to exclude that afterwards.
