Hi, unfortunately I’m unable to solve this on my own so I’ll ask here:
On my Model:Cycles, I have a snare on some beats on track 2. I want to copy the snare machine sound and param locks to some beats on track 1, where I have a kick drum on some other beats. How do I do this? I only manage to either copy param locks or the snare machine sound to the entire track 1, overriding the kick drum machine sound.

I don’t think you can do this automatically with copying & pasting tracks. As far as I know, copying/pasting pages on all Elektron boxes always overwrites the destination page & trigs cannot be pasted additively.
If you wanted to copy your snare pattern additively to an existing kick pattern, I think you would have to manually recreate each trig & parameter lock each new snare trig with the proper machine. I’ve always viewed the ability to parameter lock the machines on the cycles as more of a quirky novelty than something to really try and optimize for drum patterns. Because even if you manage to fit a full drum pattern on one track with machine locks, the grid view is pretty much illegible once you put down the cycles for a few days and come back.
With all of that said, you can probably streamline this process by getting familar with the LOCKS folder and saving your various drum sounds there, but it’s important to note that these preset locks are saved per pattern, rather than globally despite being in the PRESET MENU.
