As a newbie Elektron/ Analog 4 user i have a question regarding the factory kits which are installed on the A4.
There are a few kits which i really like to use in a new project, but i really can’t figure out how to copy this kits from the 001 presets project to a new project?
First of all these kits are write protected ( i figured it out that you can unlock this witjh the toggle on/ off feature), but how can i copy a whole kit and save it to another project i created?
I see/ think that the sounds that are used in a kit are sounds from the factory library but are tweaked, is this right?
Open the project wher you want to copy the KIT from. Go to the KIT -page. Put the cursor on the KIT you want to copy. Press FUNCTION + COPY.
Close the project.
Open the project where the pattern is you want to copy into. Go to the KIT -page. Put the cursor on an empty KIT-slot. Press FUNCTION + PASTE. Done…
I’m noth in front of my instrument so i hope it’s correct.
( YOu can copy allmost everything ) but i noticed a little bug copying just the amp -page of a kit -it says it copy’s but dousn’t paste. Maybe this is fixed by now in an update - but i never updated until now. i should find the courage - tried a few times but C6 gets on my nerve’s.
Tnx for your explanation, it did work out for me so that’s really nice.
The only thing that didn’t work out is that it didn’t load the pattern with it.
Am i right that pattern data is not within a kit?
So is it possible to copy pattern data and a kit at once?
Copying a KIT only copy’s the KIT sounds an settings. Now i’m not shure ( not in my spaceship ) but normally every pattern has a kit
linked to it. So I guess if you copy the pattern the kit is copyd with it.
Try it out, I could be mistaking….
