Copy a project from digitone to digitakt?

Hi
is it possible to copy a project from digitone to digitakt ?
thank you !

No, it’s not possible. The closest you could do is sample the sounds individually and use a daw to create midi note data, then record that to digitakt by live syncing the note entry playback. Alternatively, instead of recording the midi from a daw you could have them side by side and enter the trigs into the digitakt sequencer as you go through and recreate the patterns.

The next option would be record the tracks/patterns individually in their entirety, chop that to the correct length for the bpm for the duration of the pattern, then using the transfer software you could load those full tracks into digitakt and use the slice machine to chop them into smaller fragments so that the track can still be muted and unmuted performatively.

The project data is incompatible, so there’s just no common conversion to move one to the other without a bit of work.

No, and it would make no sense. One is based on samples, the other on synthesis parameters.

Best you could do is playing a sequence on one box and recording it in the other one, I guess.

What do you want to achieve exactly?

I think maybe you can also copy the sequence from a synth track to a midi track so that it will send the pattern sequence to the other box. As long as you’re quantize recording it should probably be able to record onto digitakt audio tracks as midi data.

if the person absolutely doesn’t want to involve a computer, but who knows without confirmation of their objective.

This is exactly what I meant.
Now that I reread my sentence I see how it could be understood as sampling the phrase, which is also a possibility.
But yes, copy-paste the trigs in a midi sequence is the way.
