Hej, I am trying to find the best way to convert samples to Octatrack from Loopcloud. I am getting duplicate copies of my samples in the pool that have ERR next to them. So for each sample there is one that works, and a “ghost” broken version.

My process:

  1. Convert the samples to 16 bit 44.1kHz WAVs using Audio Converter Lite on my Mac.
  2. Create new set
  3. Enter USB Mode
  4. Confirm that the Audio folder in the new set is empty
  5. Copy the files in from the Mac
  6. Eject USB using Finder
  7. Go to Audio Pool
    What I get is a group of samples including

SIZ_174_Cm_DrawLine_Syn_Bass.wav ERR

and

SIZ_174_Cm_DrawLine_Syn_Bass.wav 3.71

The second one works fine. So I am able to work, but I would like to resolve this as I am clearly missing something.

I am using sox and a script and it’s working now. Would love to know why this happens though.
