reminded me of this epic video essay, I did have a friend who was really into it but it seemed like a second job to me >.<

on my radar
Frankly I’m surprised it took this long. Games on PC are almost exclusively digital these days, of course consoles would eventually go the same way.
If you like Souls type games, definitely try out the free Mortal Shell 2 beta this weekend. Having played the first game, this one is much better and fun!
Was AC: Black Flag really that good for the resynch to be so hyped or just great marketing? I’ve always enjoyed the series but BF was one of a few I skipped.
Best game in the franchise, no question IMO. Odyssey and 2 are second and third IMO. It’s a classic.
I completed Khazahn last weekend, can really recommend it for Soulsplayers. If you still have good reactions play on Expert. Its a challenge.
I did start Crimson Dessert after finsihing Khazan - so far i am liking it - its a MMO expierience with better combat and single player which i prefer nowadays. They said it has souls like elements - but i can not find this true - as you have nearly unlimited healing available to you. But as Expierience its similar to Elder Scrolls single player titels. (Morrowind , Oblivion etc.) but more modern. The game gets frequent updates - and is a very smooth and overal stable expierience. It has also an active camp function, where you recruit people to your team and send them to missions to update your camp with new stuff.
It has some challenging riddles - and with that climing /jumping it has also Zelda elements in it. I prefer it actually over the current Zelda titels as it dosent have that weapon degradation build in. (It has some weapon sharpening tho.)
Thanks, DL’n now. I mos def enjoyed Odyssey. The ship parts were my least fav part which concerns me as it seems BF is built around that but we’ll see.
The amount of hours I have on CD is absurd. Was good at launch but due to the near weekly updates, it’s pretty much a different game now.
Pearl Abyss has set an impossible dev/support standard with that won. ![]()
Well I see Black Flag is being review bombed, so it’s probably pretty decent in my experience.
I’m guessing due mostly to microtransactions? Happens with every AC game. Actually, almost everything these days. If it is about the micros I get the ire about it but it is what it is. ![]()
I guess I just never cared this much about optional cosmetics. The uproar I’m seeing had me thinking that key parts of the game were straight up paywalled.
any Final Fantasy fans here? I played the demos for FF XV and FF XVI and enjoyed the change from turn based to action combat. High on Life 2 is wacky fun as well.
Let me know what you think! I’m playing now on my ROG Xbox Ally X and it’s beautiful. Some assassins creed things in it I don’t love, but I knew that going in.

I dropped FFXV really quickly but FFXVI has me hooked. I estimate I’m like 85% through the main story. The combat is a little shallow but the story is interesting enough to keep me going, the spectacle scene are some of the coolest in any video game, and the world is neat.
Really looking forward to VII Reunion or whatever they titled the third part of the remake. I never played the original VII and I’m loving where this one is going.
yeah I picked up both dirt cheap on Steam summer sale. The new one coming out looks good as well.
Let me know what you think!
I can see why it’s a fav. Very different than anything that was around at the time. Ropes you in quickly. Graphics are beautiful. Combat simple. Definitely feels like an old game but not in a bad way. Stealth sucks and the camera is weird but it’s not so bad you can’t ignore after awhile. Great edition to the collection ![]()
XV I tried a few times and never got far. XVI seems good, but I’ll have to start it over again on my handheld. I played FF VII remake part 1, and plan to play rebirth eventually.
First I’m playing Cyberpunk (about to pause main story progression to begin the Phantom Liberty content), Baldurs Gate 3 and Black Flag Resync.
I CANNOT wait for Blood of the Dawnwalker. Closest thing to the Witcher 3 since the Witcher 3 apparently, which makes sense considering the team building it.
GTA I really wish was being released on PC so I could play portably, because I’ll never finish it on my PS5 which I never play. Probably won’t buy it. Cyberpunk has given me that feeling.
Pretty excited for Fable, but the developer choice has me a bit worried.
I am on chapter 7 now, i participated in my first war campaign, it took maybe 5-6 hours for this chapter alone. The quest has some side missions, and some of the mechanics suck i.e. bow mini game or horse taming, some of the riddles are very frustrating. You have moving parts which absolutly have nothing to do with the riddle… you have to move along the path, and find the next switch to pull.
I never had to reach for youtube to clarify things that often in a video game.
Its a good game, but it has so many mechanics, it should explain itself a lot better. (triple powerfist jump)
