Clocking Rytm From An External CV Source Such As Eurorack Sequencer

I’m trying to send a clock from eurorack clock source to the Rytm MKii. Is there a way to send it into the RYTM’s CV inputs, or do I need a DIN sync cable into the midi in, or some kind of CV to MIDI converter? The manual only says that you can send DIN sync from the RYTM into an external device.

Don’t think you can receive clock from the cv inputs?
You have to use good old fashioned midi it seems

Erica Synths MIDI to Clock V2 is a nice solution

The DIN socket can be either MIDI in or MIDI out depending on how the switch is set

workaround: you could CV clock an intermediary device like one of the small Korgs (needs a bit of research, maybe SQ1) which may in turn pump out MIDI clock

Hey hanks for the answer! This is the exact kind of solution I’m looking for.

Thanks! This is cool. I have an SQ1 but hadnt tried running out of the midi/DIN output into the Rytm. Slipped my mind.

It’s piping in midi note data to my kick drum, and the sq1 has to be playing for the RYTM to be playing, which makes it a little less versatile than what I was hoping for with my overall setup, but I’m going check the midi settings and try to see what I can do.
