Setup right now is as follows. MIDI IO between DN and DT. Medusa has DT Thru to its input. DT is the master clock and transport and master mutes for the DN. The Medusa is sequenced via the DN on channel 4, but so as to not cause a midi loop, the channel that controls the mute for the medusa midi track on the DN from the DT is channel 5. I have the medusa set to receive clock and transport. The medusa is receiving clock fine, but it isn’t getting transport. I thought clock and transport were always passed out of thru no matter the source. Am I missing something?
If I understand you correctly you have connected:
- DT MIDI Out to DN MIDI In
- DN MIDI Out to DT MIDI In
Is that correct?
Clock and transport should be passed via the Thru if they are actually sent from the transmitting device.
Which Digitone OS are you running? Clock and transport were given separate activation boxes in the SYNC sub-menu as of OS 1.30.

Medusa also has config setting for both clock in and transport in that worth a check.

DT seemingly has (correctly) nothing at its Thru in this scenario - its thru would be whatever is at its IN

I assumed the transport would pas through the DN back into the DT. Guess that means I’ll need to keep the DN as the master clock. Not a big deal. Thanks!
if DT is master in the first place i’m unclear why you’d want to and if the DT is master it’ll not be interested in any clock arriving at the IN anyway

I feel that. I’m switching back to the DN being my master, but I may integrate a MIDIHub into my rig for some creative routing.
