When I voicesteal from another track(with another sound) it clicks quite loud, specially when there’s a reverb on the sound thats being cut, it sounds like someone is rattling at the gates.

Is it Hector? Can I get him to leave?

Seriously, is there a method of voicestealing I should switch to to avoid this? Or some interpolating setting or something? When I reserve a voice for the second channel it loses the whole voicestealing concept which I was actually hoping for as one of the more powerful features of the AK. Actually this somewhat turns the AK into a monotimbral synth :frowning:

Unless you like Hector trying to get into all your tracks that is…

Sorry this should be in the analog keys section, but I suspect its the same for the A4 and the AK.

Also, why is the forum so slow? It’s by far the slowest site I frequent…

The simple answer: make sure that a voice isn’t playing when you steal it…

If a voice is stolen while playing a sound, the sound it was playing will end abrubtly. This equals an enveloppe with release set on 0 and thus producing a click.

To prevent hearing clicks you have to play with poly config and exclude tracks playing sounds with long release-tails from the poly-pool. (Or shorten the notes, so that they end before being stolen)

When using more than 4 notes on a track it’s fine, when using a fifth note on another track it clicks.
