Clap not returning to normal after Rim (GLITCH?)

I’m on 1.50. I’m fully aware of the choking between the Clap and the Rim, but this is new to me.

When the Clap is active alone it sounds different (0:00-0:07) than 1. when the Rim is active (0:07-0:12) and 2. after the Rim is active (muted) (0:12-0:19). Why won’t the clap return to normal after the Rim is muted?

I’ve faced some glitches like this, but usually a reset fixes it. This is persistent.

Any ideas? I hate making progress and then getting hit with this kind of stuff…

It’s a known glitch/bug, there is a topic on it here - I’ve experienced it too.

I couldn’t find it when I did a scan of the topic. Most of the forum posts were about misunderstanding the choking.

Is there any known way around the glitch?

Not sure if that was the thread I was thinking of - but I think it touches on what the issue might be, which IIRC is the symmetry parameter of the distortion affecting both track sounds instead of just the one you are changing it on. See if that is what’s causing it in your case.

Thank you! Buried deep among the choking complaints and misunderstandings there is a solution!

Like you said it’s the Symmetry parameter on the Rim that really messes with the Clap.
