New UI feature that will be in the beta OS soon
i did, but no reply. i even messaged his account there too
thanks!
i think thats unusual but i only had contact with barbara who does the sales and she always replied within a day.
What feature is everyone most excited about that will be in the upcoming firmware?
I ran the same question through Claude and it mentioned something about recording your performance (basically like Push / Ableton’s arrangement feature), but I haven’t been able to check if this is true for myself.
It sounds like exactly what I was thinking / day dreaming just a week ago in a jam session.
Latest beta out now, supports custom colours.
Previously was using gel filter:
Now don’t need to use a filter, would like a option to revert to aliased graphics.
This beta also adds Aux chords can’t wait to give it a try when I get my Cirklon back from support. It had an issue with two encoders…it seems the factory that produces the board accidentally spilled drops of a corrosive substance on some parts, which over time caused this issue
Does this mean the Cirklon can play chords natively now? Couldn’t find any infos on this.
In the latest beta (1.4) there’s a new option in Aux Events called ‘Aux Note’, when you add that to one of the Aux Rows you can set a different chord type per step, there’s a good list of different chord options in there already.
does that mean you the remaining aux rows are free, rather than taken up with notes?
Yes. It takes up only one aux row.
FYI. the beta in the current state is kinda unusable, I had a mess with it, but I’m getting so many ‘Don’t Panic!’ screens, that I’ve installed an older version again.
Colin did say it was going to be rough.
Thats amazing! (one row not the bugs!) I’ll hold off for now then. thanks for the info
yes, if it works well it’s a huge improvement.
I’m waiting to try it and see how it’s implemented but it’s a step in the right direction. Next logical steps would be some features like humanize, harmonize etc…and of course more aux events per track
I really want the Cirklon to stay competitive when it comes to new features and workfflow.
As usual you can find info on the sequentix forum, I haven’t found any official release notes
I can appreciate and would definitely use this. I use an MPC’s chord progressions on a rather frequent basis.
Is it the case where you can create a different chord type on a pattern for each trig?
Yes exactly. Change the value on the aux row step for a different chord type. It’s going to be extremely useful
fwiw after years of not using CK patterns and being scared of polyphony on the Cirklon, I’ve been using them to great effect lately, played in from the Push 3. either way, thrilled for single aux row implementation in P3 patterns!
Playing Push or MPC into it works like a charm. I’m hoping we’ll get more humanistic capabilities with these like strum-like arpeggiation or percentage quantize or an easier way to edit more than one note in a CK pattern.
percentage quantize is already there in ck patterns ![]()
Dunno if anyone has noticed the new scale edit graphics yet but it’s a nice example of where the touchscreen use is headed.
