Good morning everyone, I’m having trouble getting MIDI messages from the Circuit to the Eventide TimeFactor. My setup is Ableton Live as the master (clock and program changes) — Circuit USB MIDI — TimeFactor.
I’ve checked all the manuals, and all of the Circuit’s MIDI Transmit settings are enabled. I need to send clock and program change information to the TimeFactor via 5-pin MIDI (information sent from Ableton).
The clock goes through, and the delay syncs when using MIDI out from Circuit to MIDI in on the delay.
But this doesn’t happen for the program changes.
When the pedal is connected via USB, it receives everything as per the manual.
Could be wrong here, but I think the clock aint going thru really, it’s the Circuits own clock enabled as MIDI out on the DIN socket.
Pedantic difference maybe, but relevant because I don’t think MIDI can pass thru from USB to DIN, that’s not how the CR works, therefore no PC go thru.
If you’re clocking from Ableton anyway, why not just connect the pedal directly, ie not thru the CR?
Thanks for the reply, I think so. The midi data of what goes into USB is not sent to the 5 pin Thru port as well. On the Arturia Keystep for example it works.
I wanted to have less USB cables in the setup since there are already a lot, but I will add one.
