Choosing a midi channel for each MNM track

Hi, I want to set up my MNM so that each track has its own midi channel that I can then trigger externally.

I’ve read the Midi section in the manual and I can’t work out how to do it. Can anybody help?

I get how use use Auto Channel, but I’m more interested in sequencing different tracks at the same time.

The MM’s six tracks can be addressed using six consecutive MIDI channel numbers. The channel numbers can be set in the GLOBAL > CONTROL > MIDI CHANNELS menu by setting the BASE CHANNEL and CHANNEL SPAN parameters.

For example:

  • if you want the tracks 1 to 6 to respond to channel numbers 1 to 6 respectively then set BASE CHANNEL to 1 and CHANNEL SPAN to 6;
  • if you want the tracks 1 to 4 to respond to channel numbers 11 to 14 respectively then set BASE CHANNEL to 11 and CHANNEL SPAN to 4.
