Cheap adjustable tilt stand!

Was looking for anything i could find to get my RYTM and A4 to sit at a tilt on my desk and found a great $8 option. They are made for tablets and after a couple adjustments to get the slant right, is a perfect fit. After testing it out with the RYTM it proves stable and ordering a second for the A4 (currently using a macbook stand).

Yeah, I would tighten the screws after adjustment though (locks the teeth together). you can get as low as roughly 25 degree angle up to about 45 (in the previous pictures).

I like to use the pads with full velocity on so if you drum harder it might not work as well. Works great from a sequencing, tweaking side though. For $8 it may be worth it for some. Even just to save desk space when not using them.

Ah sweet, I’ve been considering these stands as well, this is becoming an interesting thread for me
Aside from the cost and aesthetics, how’s the fit to the machine? E.g. does everything feel solid and stable when you’re using the gear in them?

I had read that on a flat surface, these things tend to slip away because there is no rubber layer on the bottom side.

Hey bolandross, I’d also read that about them, partly why I asked tbh.

I bought a stand from this guy on eBay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151499215636 - which would have had a similar issue except he supplied optional adhesive rubber feet which I guess would’ve been cheap to obtain. I foolishly sold the stand, with the Machinedrum in it (which I’ve always regretted!)

Now I’m building up my Elektron gear again I’m looking for a nice set of matching stands, and these E-RM ones seem to fit the bill so far - though I’m still going to order one of those cheaper easel stands from Amazon, you never know!

Unfortunately, the one down fall of all of these including the stand i posted, tend to slightly turn or slip on the surface as you finger drum. I think finding the right material to put on the bottom will eliminate this. The amazon basics stand has a semi grippy material but still wants to slide a bit depending on the surface you have it on.

Still from an aesthetic standpoint and for programing sounds it works excellent.

Ideally really wanted one of those two tier stands but its hard to find quality ones (especially that will allow the covers to be attached). Will have to be a summer woodwork project i think.

Those light up usb cables are definitely worth the price. Very good quality and in my dim studio look great. I have 3 (mixer,A4,RYTM) and they actually light up my whole desk.

Hi, I got this from my mom, its little bit on the big side but firm and dont slip around while finger drumming, great angle adjustment!

Ahh these are removable without taking out the screws, Great!! Still don’t fancy using elektrons in a hot club with the side vents covered, but I suppose one could just leave em off without fuss.
