Chase Bliss effects pedals

I imagine you will run out of adequate power from USB connection fairly quickly.
The popular solution for powering multiple pedals is Truetone products.
Stuff like these: CS6 – Truetone

My mystery box contained a Habit  - about those earlier posts mentioning manifesting I was secretly hoping for a Habit and its the one I got!

This is my first Chase Bliss pedal.

Id probably go for This

3a, so it should be more then enough for three.

And something to Daisy chain it

I’d suggest to talk about powering options in a more appropriate thread…

and Cioks DC7 absolutely rocks.

Order 9081 shipped two days ago and arrived today.

Actually, it really depends on the pedal. Onward requires 200, while Lossy 400, Mood 270, Thermae 150, etc. So much for the common form factor.

You’re right, of course.

Perhaps I misremembered it. I was hoping I could power three from a single outlet on my Cioks (more because it included a three-plug chain than because I was running out of sockets). I couldn’t, so I probably imbalanced my memory in favour of the Lossy (the newest and most hungry when I was considering this plan).

To add to your list:

Gen Loss II - 250mA
Habit - 150mA
Mood I - 200mA

I wonder what Lossy does to deserve 400 mA, compared with 200 for Onward or 250 for GenLoss. Maybe it has double the processing power inside? With CXM and its motor faders, one can at least understand why it requires 500 mA.

It’s hard work sounding that messed up.

I’ve mostly ignored using Onward’s glitch side and the attack/decay like fade mode. I’ve made a patch with it today and liked it. Starting dry, then with only glitch, then with glitch and freeze. Then I play around with octave. It’s not my favorite function of Onward but gives you an idea of how it can play along with you.

Another demo. This shows how you can use it as an interesting delay with the square shaped sustain mode. Glitch and freeze are both running. First really low sustain setting. Then with longer sustain. Then with even longer sustain and some added Valhalla Delay after Onward and opening the filter cutoff after Onward was already triggered. I wish there was a way that would make the Onward effects work “polyphonically” so they won’t be cutoff immediately if you enter a new note with the square mode sustain.

There is: the user sustain hidden setting. You can adjust it until it sits your needs. Other possibility but less predictable: adapting size. Then there is tap tempo, too …

Regarding effects after Onward, if needed, it seems that reverb (plate, room) works better than delay. Surprisingly, no effects after Onward also works very well.

So here I stand corrected thinking I could avoid hidden settings altogether . Thanks! Adapting size seems tricky, as it would also mess with the “delay time”.

Looking forward to running Onward into Mood btw. Could be interesting.

Mystery Box #38286 received today and got a BS Wombtone. Probably the last pedal I wanted from them lol.

Apart from the ducking knob in hidden settings, the latter are pretty straightforward and easily accessible.

Nevertheless, just in case, remember the “reset hidden settings” combo: switch preset 3x to the left and back to the center, then confirm with both main switches

The envelope-follower on the phaser sounds pretty cool too my ears (kinda like an auto-wah), and the whole tone is thick and juicy. I bet it sounds sweet on some Rhodes, the or let it free-run on a string synth patch for that 70s vibe

I’ve got so many great modulation pedals

Mu-Tron Phasor
MXR Phase 45 70s
MXR Flanger 70s
ADA Flanger 70s
Zvex Wah Probe
Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe
Boss T-Wah

At this point it’s just $325 spent on something I wish was something else lol

Edit: forgot my Ross Flanger 70s not JHS BS

WT has grown on me quite a bit you can dial in some serious BOC lead type stuff with a mono going into it, but yeah I hear you wasn’t my first choice… but probably the only one I actively didn’t want was a condor hifi although I’m sure it’s also very nice. Maybe just wait for the mystery boxes to cool off and sell it if you never find a reason to keep it. It’s a limited pedal so it will probably be worth something eventually.

If I hear some cool stuff with the BS Wombtone on a Rhodes, GAS will be ignited :hear_no_evil:

Only the first video worked for me but sounds cool!! Seems like you may be able to get some cool stuff out of the pitch shifting  I’m bringing mine to a jam tonight (running with a guitar), excited for the textures it’ll help me create

Thanks! The second vid is just the nerdy unboxing reveal.
