hey guys, have been making chords, p locking by ear, but that’s a longer process than i would like. i seem to remember seeing a chart that showed the number system equivalent to chords. or something just converting the chronological numbering to an in-scale numbering. for example +7 is actually a 5th. anybody have that?

Some common chord intervals.
Major - 0 +4 +7
Minor - 0 +3 +7
Major7 - 0 +4 +7 +11
Minor7 - 0 +3 +7 +10
Diminished - 0 +3 +6
Augmented - 0 +4 +8
Sus2 - 0 +2 +7
Sus4 - 0 +4 +7
If you want to try different flavours take one of the notes you are tuning up (not the 4th note in the 7th chords) and subtract 12 from the value. This will give you an inverted chord which is always good for variation.

I suppose for the the Maj/Min 7th chords you listed, you’re using the 5th sub-osc on the tonic and the third?

Haha yes the 7th as the root note will sound quite weird. I will edit that in case anyone else reads it.
That is true for Arp page, not with one track OSCs.
It is a bit more complicated.
5th Sub is below, 7 semitones below.
In order to have a regular 5th, you have to make the sub the tonic, you have to tune OSC1 = 7. You can add a minor 3rd with Osc 2 = 3.
min with 5th sub is :
0SC 1 = 7 (sub is tonic, osc1 is 5th)
OSC 2 = 3 (osc2 is min3rd)
maj with 5th sub is :
OSC 1 = 7 (sub is tonic, osc1 is 5th)
OSC 2 = 4 (osc2 is maj3rd)
min7 with 5th subs is :
0SC 1 = 7 (sub is tonic, osc1 is 5th)
OSC 2 = 10 (sub is min3rd, osc2 is min7)
maj7 with 5th subs is :
OSC 1 = 7 (sub is tonic, osc1 is 5th)
OSC 2 = 11 (sub is maj3rd, osc2 is maj7)

That’s it. I’ll add other chords when i get a chance to sit down with it. For more standard music. Other times I like happy accidents. Especially p-locking sub oscs that are tuned to 5ths for a chord down to a sub 20 randomly, so you get a psuedo bass groove that comes in.

Pretty hard to find more regular chords.
As I don’t really like Pulse waves, I don’t use Subs. I prefer to use only 2 oscs.
