Channel span is a range of six or less midi channels to control MM externally as sound module.
It is linked to other settings like Multitrig Multimap and Auto.
So, by default, with Span of 6 you have Multitrig on 7 and so on.
But you need to change this settings if you dont’ have enough Midi channels.
About how to setup depends on your needings, so please, exapand a bit on how you need to use those machine with external control.
In your case (MM+A4 only?) you can leave those settings on MM and setting A4 with Tracks channels going from 10 to 13 (it’s up to you) and 14 for Auto channel…but, i repeat, almost depends on what you actually need to do
question, do i have to save the slots setup?
i have set the midichannel setup for slot 8, and it seems i need to domit again after power up
actually Global setups get saved like Pattern, you make a change > it stays there.
it would change if you switch snapshot on a +Drive without saving, but if i read correctly you have the keyboard SFX-6 right?
So, it looks weird…
yeah i have the keyboard with plusdrive and rubberknobs.
i tvhink many weird things happen during operation of it, but now i will learn everything about it before complaining.
question,
when mnm velocity dial is set at lowest, it still sending noteons?
i want to somehow make a midi gate with mnm lfos for random midi gate on a4.
any workaround, do i need midipal?
keyboard is only playing a4 when set int in controlout1.
why is this
manual says int, no midi is sent out, well i only send midi out when in int. cool if somone with mki could confirm this!
i thank you again for spending time helping out!
how do you save the slot?
cant find it in the manual
If you mean Slot as Global Slot…it gets saved automatically.
Snapshot, instead, gets saved in FILE > SNAPSHOTS
This action saves all, Global Slots (8) included
thanks!
it seems like global slots gets saved with snapshots, so you have 128 *8 global slots available.
cool!
