Changing parts not so seamless

Still new on the OT, but when I have a pattern running and switch parts. I often hear some glitchy tones or off beat notes.

So I guess the question is that, is this expected?
Do any of you have similar experiences?
Or is part changing supposed to be seamless and it’s user error or my OT?

U can change parts in the arranger…

so to rule out any human failure… u could set up a loop of your pattern with some partchanges done by the arranger…

myself, i never change parts on the fly for the fun of it… (and thats my loss… i have seen people have excellent result) … i do know that when i save a part… sometimes i hear glitch.
never noticed weird glitches by switching… but like i said. i never use it in a musical way.

Haven’t gotten to the arranger part in the manual yet, but I will definitely try that out. Hopefully that method of changing parts works better.

Unfortunately changing parts when the parts have different sample assignments does cause some glitches… You can sometimes get around them by carefully changing them just before a downbeat etc.

Using flex machines might yield better results for this stuff…

I’m using flex machines, and I’m mostly switching parameter settings and not samples. Switching right before a beat probably requires more coordination than I have.

Maybe crossfader is the way to go, but I can certainly think of situations where seamless parts would be more appropriate esp for changing samples.

Beware of bend trigs, cause for me it has been a problem while switching parts.
