Chances of EXT MIDI sequencer?

Does anyone know if this is on the road map? I had an OT and this was a very handy thing to have. I know that if implemented it would have to be some-what limited so sales of the OT are not cannibalised, but maybe 1 track could be good enough. Being a drum machine and the heart of a set up I would of thought it made sense?

Sorry if this has been discussed at length, I just looked through all the thread titles and didn’t see any thing relevant.

with the A4, it kinda sorta made sense to say that it’s focused on CV sequencing…

but the AKeys has been advertised as a workstation not least because of its MIDI capabilities - yet it doesn’t sequence MIDI…

the AR doesn’t sequence external gear at all, and is the most expensive Elektron box yet.

wishful thinking dictates that we’ll get MIDI sequencing for all the Analog things at some point.

I am actually curious about this myself. Can a drumpad trigger the AR? I would assume it can.
Does anyone have any recommendations on drumpads and midi? Best response, most reliable? The rolands seem nice but far too expensive for just midi control. The nord drumpad (the pad only) looks interesting and from what i can tell connects anything via midi.
