On the A4 you can step in and step out of a pattern in the chain, without losing the chain.
The mute feature I mentioned above is also a key difference. This is streamlined on the A4 so you don’t have to do as much tabbing and menu diving.
On the A4 you can have multiple chains (called Song rows). So you can have an intro chain, verse chain, etc. On the OT, you only get the chain you key in. Once you hit stop, it’s gone.
In general, working with chains on the A4 is more streamlined and intutive.
I’m hoping Elektron can integrate some of the key features of the A4 and RYTMs chain and song modes.
