Hi all,
I know there have been a few threads based on this subject but I just cant make my mind up and get this right!!! Please help!!!
I want to construct a rig to play live, predominantly in clubs so I need a smallish setup. I have OT + AR, I also want to include Xoxbox + Minitaur and perhaps one or two other modules, eg Waldorf Streichfett - Vermona Retroverb.
Id love something that I can carry to the gig all linked up in the box, plug into a power outlet and stereo out of my rig into main pa/monitors…I may need a small line mixer.
Ive been looking at SKB cases and Gator cases…also the tilting mixer cases…I just cant decide on sizes or configuration!!! Plus i could do with keeping costs down…!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

strange i see it!
i made a flight case in witch i put mackie 1402 vlz3 on the left, analog rytm just next to it, my virus ti desktopon the right, behind is the monomachine and all the psu and audio cables, all stay plugged in the mackie and only the L andR and one cable for powering go outside the flight, it costed me around 80€ to build it with wood paint etc…
I use this rack, DIY.

both Elektron boxes in two cases (one in each).
Rest of the gear in the rucksack. For bigger one try pelican perhaps, but expensive.

the SKB 14U tilted mixer cases are great for this kind of set-up. i added a patchbay to mine and set it up so that my live set-ups connections are half-normalled.
means i’m ready-to-go for gigs, and can patch stuff in and out really easily for studio work.
quite a bit of work wiring and arranging everything to get it all fitted nicely, but it’s really paying off now it’s done - no more setting up my rig in dark venues and getting weird problems because i’ve plugged the wrong holes!

I use this

for all of my rack gear (compressor, voice processor, and recorder) and then i have a flightcase for all my sound making gear.
^ the above has been changed a bit with the inclusion of the rack case.
I’m adding my final piece of gear (at least I think so) to my case this week. I’ll take new pics to show my current setup with the rack case etc.
