Hold seems to work with midi tracks plays free, in midi mode.
I used C4 for recording. I’m not sure there’s a note off on midi track release. I tried a random lfo on note length too. I was thinking of different length for different plocks…
Didn’t explore, just wanted to share quickly! Surely something to do with audio tracks plays free at the same time.
I confirm, Hold works with midi tracks plays free, so you can choose rec length with Midi Trigs in Midi mode, and play recordings with Track Trigs plays free.
Trig a sample on T5.
T1 rec T5, plays R1
T2 rec T5, plays R2
T3 rec T5, plays R3
T4 rec T5, plays R4
Common settings :
Rec Setup : HOLD, loop On, Src3 = T5, Qrec = 1
Tracks Plays Free Hold, 1/16 Quantize.
Midi mode
T1 midi ch1
T2 midi ch2
T3 midi ch3
T4 midi ch4
Common settings :
One Trig Note C4, Len Inf
Tracks Plays Free Hold, Direct Quantize
Maybe you have to stop and play.
Stay in Midi Mode, use crossfader and 1-4 9-12 trigs.
You can add things in midi tracks with Trigless Locks, midi lfos, etc…
Excellent work, Sir! Thank you
Thank you for the idea !
I hope you’ll try with midi tracks to check if it can improve your trick.
If you plock Playback Length on a scene, hold shortly and use Pipo loop you can have some king of granular stuff and then go back to a more regular audio length.
I’ll try start or slices modulations later.
This thing just keeps getting deeper and deeper…
Very cool idea! Thank you for sharing
ooh fun!
