Hey there,
I just bought a new Compact Flash Card for my OT. I loaded a bunch of samples (most of them from cymatics) onto the card. If I power up the octa, start a new project and put a flex machine on a track, I can’t preview the samples. If I press FUNCTION + YES, a message pops up that says ‘SAMPLE LOAD ERRORS’. However, if I put the sample in the slot anyway, and put a trigger in the sequencer it plays perfectly fine, I just can’t preview it.
While I can confirm this happens to me I unfortunately can’t explain it I’d give a solution. As it’s an annoyance and not a show stopper Ive just lived with it up to now. Hopefully we get a response from the experts
Reminds me something, some searches in the forum maybe…
Check available RAM memory, file size.
I’d also check files format twice, especially bits.
IIRC in some cases 32 bits files can be played or not.
Files should be in 16/24 bits, wave/aiff.
OT Sample Rate is 44.1 khz, but it can play other rates faster or slower.
I have had this occasionally even with samples made on OT, I think it may be related to card issues, but not sure really, in my experience it has only happened rarely but it does not seem to have an obvious cause.
