I’m having a bit of a problem trying to record a pattern to DP 9.
I"ve got my midi setup for all 12 Tracks to output on the same channel. When record on DP and hit play on the rytm nothing gets recorded.
I know DP is setup properly as I can record in teh same manner wiht my DX200.
I can also hit an individual pad/track on the Rytm while DP is recording and that works fine.
I"m sure it’s probably something simple but I’ve checked all my midi setting on the Rytm and it looks ok to me.
This falls under the same topic that the RYTM can’t sequence MIDI.
While playing, the RYTM cannot send MIDI note messages that are playing from sequence. As you said, however the RYTM does send MIDI messages when hitting the pad or using them in CHROMATIC mode.
I.e - Only the pads themselves can send MIDI note messages, UNFORTUNATELY, notes that are playing from the RYTM’s sequencer cannot.
Such a bummer - but the machine is great. so let’s just live in hope - in the meantime enjoy this beast machine !
holy cow really!!! I was aware of the AR not working as a midi controller and there was something in teh back of my mind wondering if my issue was related to that but kept telling myself, couldn’t possibly be since that is such a basic feature for any electronic instrument.
bizarre that Eleketron would opt to not include such a necessary feature on the AR.
is there a business or product logic that leaves this feature out of the AR by Elektron.
I can live with out being able to use it as a midi controller but to not be able to record your patterns to a software sequencer almost makes this a piece of dead weight to me.
