Can't get OB to see AR4 Mk2 in Logic Pro

Hi - newbie to Elektron/AR42… but long time external hardware & Logic pro user.

Have set up AR4 with other external gear into my NI Komplete Audio 6 box…

  • AR4 is running latest OS 1.40A…
  • LPX v 10.2.2 on an old Mac Pro 2008
  • OSX 10.10.5 (the highest possible to run on this old Mac).
    I can’t run OB 2.0.30.3 as not compatible with my Mac OSX so have OB 1.15.0 - which I can install but it wont see the AR (connected by supplied Elektron USB cable to Mac)… I can set up individual Midi channels and transmit note data via controller keyboard and logic to AR… but OB just cannot see the AR -
    I have tried endless install / restart / switch units on/off etc etc!

can anyone offer help?

It ain’t gonna help that you’re using an unsupported OS !

I have said that I am NOT using OB 2.0.nnn

I am using OB 1.15.0

I have set USB Mdid settings to OB on the Ar4

A4 OS 1.40A needs Overbridge 2, the last OS to support Overbridge 1 was 1.24C: https://www.elektron.se/support/?connection=analog-four

Ah, that would explain it!.. I’m hoping to get a new MacBook before March, so I’ll continue to use as stand-alone until then - I am trying to go DAWless a bit anyway
